Macrina Vicerra-Jaena


   is a certified family nurse practitioner. She started her career at Jimenez-Ewa Beach Medical Foundation Clinic in December 2001. She obtained her Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Maui Community College in 1992 where she graduated with honors. She then transferred to the University of Hawaii, Manoa where she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing in 1994. She then gained her nursing experience as a staff nurse at Kuakini Hospital from 1992-1995. She transferred to Queen’s Medical Center where she had worked from 1995-2005 as a staff nurse in various departments most notably in the Telemetry Department. In June 2001, she graduated from University of Phoenix (Hawaii Campus) with a Masters of Science in Nursing/Family Nurse Practitioner where she was awarded with the Spirit of Nursing Award dedicated to her late classmate and best friend, Maria Stasik. In the past, Macrina had done volunteer work with Aloha Medical Mission and Honolulu Marathon.
